I am in love with blogging this week. I've been checking out all my friends friend lists and finding old friends and family in the funniest places. Turns out my cousin lived next door to my friend Emily in New Orleans. My cousin also married a girl from Kamas, UT who is good friends with another girl from Kamas, UT who married a guy from my ward in Kansas City. I have found some friends from high school and my ward in Olathe. So if you are one of them beware ... I have found you.
So, I haven't really written in a while, I guess I have been too busy with my photography and my little busy bee's. Maybe that is why my brain is turning to mush. I have been reading - granted it takes a while with all the interuptions I get - but I really loved the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer. I was skeptical at first - vampires and romance - have never been all that into either. However, it was not long before I was hooked. I loved the charachter development and the intrigue sucked me right in. Whats next? More Jodi Picoult maybe.
So, on a more introspective note... the weekend is at its end and Monday is fast approaching. How many Sunday nights do I go to bed with a heart full of conviction that this week will be different, better. This week I will excersize more, get all the laundry done on Monday. I will spend more time in educational activities with the girls. Alas, time marches on and things never come out like we intend. One thing that struck me as I have been reading blogs today is that as moms we all seem to feel this way. We want so much for our kids and for our families - so much that it is not humanly possible to give them all that we would like to - and really - we probably shouldn't if we could. It is hard to find the balance. All in all, I was actually able to concentrate better than usuall in church today and I feel like I got a lot out of it today. I am grateful to be reminded of the principles of obedience and having an I will attitude - I can do those things - and let the Lord direct me in all the rest.
Coming up this week ... Isabel has been organizing an art show and is begging me to get out the video camera - so you will get to see her art show soon.
Also - Thank you to Megan Hastings in NC - for sharing her advice on the Click and Chuck method for dealing with the endless piles of art work and school projects.
