The assisted living center that shares our neighborhood with us hosts fun activities for our neighborhood every year. Their purpose is to say Thank you for sharing our neighborhood - and to provide entertainment to their residents who don't get out. They usually do an Easter Carnival and a 4th of July celebration. The firefighters who work in our neighborhood always bring their fire truck and they are the ones that do the fireworks.
The firefighters also do a Santa drive by a few days before Christmas.... Someone dresses up as Santa and sits on the back of the firetruck, then they drive through the neighborhoods waving to any kids that are awake. VERY COOL! The first time we saw it we were running out into the street in our jammies and Izzy was SCREAMING for Santa and saying Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas. Here are some pics of the girls (with their cousin Alyssa who is staying with us for a few fun filled days) at the 4th of July celebration!
They are not good pictures because I left my camera on the wrong setting! But, I'm sure Lisa and Justin want to see anyway!
