The Smell
of sulphur is already thick in the already thick wet Missouri air. We actually stopped and picked up our own small share of BOGO fireworks a few things more than just sparklers - they think they will get me yet, wearing me down enough to let them make a purchase, sneaky, sneaky, little things. And so it begins, cut the grass, water it thoroughly... and wait for the battle to begin. Last year this time we had an amazing preview while kicked back on the hammock on the deck. This year the tattered and torn hammock has becoime a storage facility for unwanted toys and so it is to the newest addition to our family we go... the trampoline. Ah the peep hole into the sky, sparkle, shimmer, squeal, shine. Okay, so it is 2 years now that we have been O'Fallon, Missourites. (last years photo)
Isn't it fitting that Alex is sick, just like she was when we closed on our house. Our 1st night in our house - with our furniture - July 4th 2006 - we were torn between fear and excitement at the chaos outside. Overwhelmed by the vastness of this house, standing on the landing of the stairs confused about which way to go. In all the missing of our cozy little bungalow we left behind in Kansas City I have come across a dream of a house, cozy, sweet, affordable, amazing, you won't believe your eyes. Oh and there it is a musical serenade to my closing thoughts .... swoosh, boom, pop... and it's a big one! Happy 4th! Let Freedom Ring.

My Blog List
Becca, I love reading your entries! You express your thoughts well, something I would like to learn someday. You crack me up! I have not been on your blog before, so it is a fun treat. I will have to visit more often. Thank you, again for the fun day at the pool. My girls and I (oh, yea, and the boys, too... sometimes I forget to mention them, or rather, I bunch them in with the "girls") had a really fun time. We look forward to more fun times ahead.
