Ramblin on and on

Alas time has been sucked up by 1 million 7 hundred and 33 different things all at once and while I have had several opportunities to blog... I have not been able to decide on which thing to blog about and so I stare at my blog page... And then I stare at every one else's blog pages. Nothing is changing. No one is writing. I keep staring at mine and still I do not write. Oh the doldrums and the blazing wrath of summer!!!

Baby family member seems to doing well. They took her off the venilators several days ago and she is breathing completely on her own now. They are able to hold her now which must really feel nice to both parents and baby. Her size comes across more clearly in this picture . Beautiful tiny little thing.

So, our floors in our house are 100% nasty. Evidently we were blind when we bought our house - because how can you miss 3000 sq feet of dirty old carpet and stained, grimy floors? Well, we did! So, I have been thinking that I would try white toothpaste on the floors after a tip from my sis... but I have not gotten around to it yet. Well, some sort of mess happened and we grabbed a scouring pad - and voila! out came this pretty little section of white floor! Amazing. Matt spent about an hour scrubbing until his shoulders ached - and now we have half of a normal looking clean kitchen!
Before and AfterMy darling little sis Heather has been with us for a week now. She is so beautiful and young. It is starting to get harder to remember what it was like to be thin, and always cold, and to have someone to take care of me. She seems so old compared to my girls and I forget that there are things she might not know how to do! Several times I have almost asked her if she wanted to drive so I could put on my face... then I remembered that she is only 13!My Izzy gave a talk in Primary again and did just marvelous - as always. She is looking and acting older every day it seems. Kinda freaks me out!Monday we paid yet another visit to the Mommy doctor - this time for an ultrasound. Good news is that there are signs of a ruptured cyst (being that when she poked at the colapsed looking area with the ultrasound it hurt). Having gone through the whole cyst thing many times previous, it is great to know that there is nothing to be done for it besides the pill or a pregnancy which is a much better diagnosis than endometriosis!

So, as we get to the hospital - Isabel says... "Mommy are you going to have a baby today?" She was dead serious. Wouldn't that be grand if you could just walk in, family in tow, pick one out, or even pop one out that easy, minus the 10 months of pregnancy, and go home a few hours later!

In the office they had on display a lovely board with the best of the best ultrasound pictures. Both girls were thrilled with the pictures of twins and triplets and added that to their request for a pink baby girl.

Upon leaving, Alex in utter disappointment proclaimed, "Oh no, we didn't get to see your baby!" Since they are not to be convinced that there really is no baby hiding in there - We had a long talk in the car (3 minutes to be exact) and I suggested that they take their requests to Heavenly Father, and they seemed to be satisfied with that. Alex does continue to report to us often about the baby in her tummy is doing.

So, on to Alex. There has been a lot of hype of late about the fundamentalist Mormon cuckoo heads, oh ooops, did I say cuckoo? you know the ones who try to be polygamist? Well Alex is shedding some light on this problem when each night at dinner she continues to share her excitement over her new "wives" .....

Filling out enrollment paper work for Alex's preschool, I came to the section where they ask you to list your child's favorite things, people, activities etc. I realize that Alex has really needed more time to be Alex and not just the little sister/shadow. Here is the list I came up with...

Singing
Dancing
Shaking her booty (this really does qualify as something much different than dancing in her case)
Being a total clown
Pouring things
Being Wet

So, there is tremendous potential for talent exploration in Alex's case! We look forward with joyous anticipation to the changes this coming school year will bring.

TTFN my fellow bloggers and stalkers - I am off to make a digi-doodle

    You make me smile

It's funny that you are living with your little sister for the first time ever for a few weeks. That's great!
