Friday night was WONDERFUL! Michael McLean and Kim Nelson were hilarious as well as inspiring and such very talented musicians!
Saturday was good as well - but seeing as how I am not used to sitting for ANY length of time 7 hours (with breaks and lunch of course) of sitting and listening was rather agonizing AND numbing to all of my lower extremities! I wished that I had something to work on while just sitting there all those hours.
Lisa's beautiful friend Jill K. was spotlighted as an example of a "Joyful life woman". I don't know her well, mostly what I know of her is from her blog, but I do see her as a talented, tremendous example to women. Just reading her report about the weekend I hear the Joy in her heart.
Music was a huge part of the conference and while the traditional songs and performances were great - my favorites were the parodies : My Favorite Things from the Sound of Music .....
Bedtime and nap time, and nap time and bedtime. Nap time and Bedtime and bedtime and nap time, did I mention that my favorite part of the day, is when the kids are in asleep in bed all tucked away....

Jason Wright (author of The Wednesday Letters and Christmas Jars inspired us to not neglect the art of letter writing - and as happens often - I was reminded of my dear friend Tami who wrote me letter after letter until I finally got the guts to go back to church after a 4 year hiatus.
Other highlights were Singer /Songwriter Cherie Call, Jane Clayson Johnson from "the Early Show" on CBS and Pam Hansen!
It was refreshing to have time away. It was wonderful to have a little time with my wonderful sister Lisa. It could have been perfect if only at the end they rolled out the down lined cots, turned down the lights, and let us all have a siesta before returning home to the rat race.
We did have the privilege of meeting Mrs. HTF's sister KM - who I am sure was a little freaked out with the strangers in her face saying hey we know you! So sorry KM! What I lack in tact I make up for in my desire to be kind and sincere! But, we love, love, love reading the blogs of other LDS women! There are so many inspiring and wonderful women in the church and it is wonderful how the Internet brings us together!
So, am I renewed, refreshed and inspired enough to charge head first into a new week with a smile on my face and a spring in my step? Let's see after I take a nap. Zzzzzzzz Zzzzzzzzzz ......
