6 quirlky things

Six weird and random things about me:

The rules are:
* Post the rules on your blog
* Write six random things/unspectacular quirks about yourself
* Tag six people at the end of your post and link to them
* Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog
* Let the tagger know when your entry is posted

1. I am anti-competitive
I feel so bad for the people who lose! I also don't really like to follow rules! AND I don't really care if I drop, miss or pop the ball! Although the years of association with Matt who is genetically predispositioned to high levels of competitiveness via the Kettler Clan are wearing me down slowly. I have had a few moments in RUMIKUB or Yahtzee Turbo where I have ruthless.

2. I like to eat my candies in rainbow order(or I should say back in the day when I was allowed to eat candy) like skittles and M&M's. When I run out of enough color variety to make a rainbow then I arrange them in color patterns. I don't know what would happen if I didn't eat them that way, but I sure would hate to find out.

3. I play piano by ear. I had a couple of months of formal training when I was younger, and I was too bored to stick with it. Today I can play just about anything from the Hymn book, most of Josh Grobans music, a wide variety of classical pieces like Pachbell's Canon, the Man from snowy River, etc. etc.
But I learn MOST of it by listening to a CD and figuring it out, I play along with the CD until I know it and then I don't need the CD anymore. 1/2 the time when I am playing just about anything I am working to get the notes on the Treble Clef (top hand) and my bottom hand is just playing away - I SWEAR I am not controlling the bottom hand. The other day I sat down to play a song I have been playing forever and out came chords, through the whole song. I feel that I need some music theory classes. I also feel that it is sort of freaky - wierd.

4. When I fly on a plane I HAVE TO HAVE a glass of tomato juice over ice. I love it anyway but for some reason I crave it on a plane.

5. I can't go to sleep at night with anything on the floor. Even with the lights out I can still feel the presence of clutter, so I have to get up and move whatever it it.

6. I don't just rearrange furniture, I rearrange the house. Most recently I took everything out of what should be the dining room and traded it for what was in the living room... making the dining room into my office/piano room and the living room into a much cuter Aqua and Brown living room with more seating options. When we first moved here we had no kitchen table, so the kids brought their bikes in over winter. Then for a while we had the red love seat and a comfy rug in the kitchen and our table and chairs was in the living room. I really liked that set up. It was so cozy to have breakfast or dinner by the fire. We also really enjoyed having full use of the wall of windows in the kitchen -sitting on the love seat sipping a hot cocoa and watching the birds or the wind in the tree's - was very cozy. - Ok, if you haven't seen it in action in my house - you've seen it on my blog. AND, finally the ultimate, which will remain a silly fantasy I am sure... I am convinced that out Master bed room would serve us better as a children's suite. They bathe in there, 1/2 our closet is filled with tubs of their opposite season clothes, and 1/4 of it is filled with their Sunday Dresses. I envision a line of beds, or bunk beds even, a corner set up with chairs and bookcases for story reading... All the chaos, all the stuff, in one place. Guess I'll just have to design my own house.

SO, thanks Mrs. Emily for playing! and I tag hmmmm.
Lisa, Liz, Amie O., Kara, Summer, Tina M. and anyone else who will admit to reading my blog and is need of a tag!
