We slept our first night in our house.
WE WERE SORE AFRAID!
But we watched and we waited and we kept our hose ready
and at dawns early light
Our world was still intact

Max turns 9 months
and learns how to say
ba blaaa and grrrowlll
and plays baby bumper cars
Matt enjoys 5 hours of pyro heaven with some buddies
while a whole bunch of us make a big mess, play, eat and watch
and celebrate
our freedom
to shoot fireworks and play with glow sticks
all night LONG past twilights last gleaming
with the rockets red glare
the crap and debris fell from the air
as the smoke and ash settled
the flag was still there.
OK so I was holding the flag -
and it didn't come out as cool as I
wanted but it is a start -
thanks to BEN who helped me figure
out some new things on my camera.

Man I miss that house with the pretty red eaves and the people who live there. Glad you had a good time. You are so cute! I love reading your narrations.
