On the 12th Day of Christmas - Themes, Traditions & An Awesome Craft

Themes are FABULOUS

Reindeer are one of my favorites.

This year we have a reindeer themed tree

We usually have an Angel themed tree
because I have LOTS of Angels
 - but they are all fragile
so this year we just have an Angel.
Truthfully, we only have the Angel out
because somehow she managed
to stay out on a shelf since last Christmas.

A Tradition

Years ago when Matt and I worked for
Collin and Bridgette Noble out in Manhattan
they gave me this adorable little box filled
with chocolates for Christmas.
(Yes it is only the lid in the picture because Max
swiped the box.  It is probably hiding in the tall
silver toilet paper holder where he
keeps the rest of his stash.)

When our baby girls joined the family
we thought it would be fun to let them each
have their own box and fill it with something little
each year....  earrings, candies, etc.

The only trick is remembering
to look for it on the tree on
Christmas Morning.

A Craft

Isn't this a sweet paper ornament!
My visiting teachers brought it to me.
I guess last time the building got new
hymns books they saved back quite a few.
They used the Christmas Hymns to make this tree.
They said the instructions are on line - but, I haven't found them.
When I do, or when I tackle them and say TEACH ME...
then I'll see about posting a tutorial.
