Today - well, technically yesterday... Was a crazy day. Didn't really feel much like doing anything, so we didn't. Kind of nice after a very busy week.
Well we had another dog rescue. I looked out and saw a black lab eating the bird seed on the front porch so I stuck my head out to see who he was - and he jumped up with his muddy paws on my nice (not my usuall bum around town clothes) clothes and hugged me! Before I knew what had happened he pushed his way into the house and began to explore. He made his way throughout the entire house in 30 seconds or less and then began to look for food. He ate 1 apple, 1 granola bar, a few cubes of cheese and some crackers, an entire tube of cat treats which he chewed and threw into the air to get it open - and then he dumped them out. He tried to get a drink from the kitchen sink and also got mud on every piece of furniture we own. HE WAS CRAZY!!!! So unlike our last puppy rescue.
When we got him home I put him in his yard, locked the gate and headed back for the car, and there he was, as if I had never put him into the yard. So, a while later, after he visited a neighbor through an open garage, and we chased him around the cul de sac, I got him back in the yard and locked him in his dog run.
We did eventually get Isabel registered for Kindergarten after all of our dog excitement! It was fun to walk through the school and meet the teachers.
I think I must be tired - I can't think of anything else to say - when does that ever happen?
That dog-saving sounds like quite the activity! Hope you guys are doing well.
