Lately Izzy just wants to argue with me about everything... are we close or far from our house, is it hot or cold out, is she grumpy because she is sick, sleepy or because her blood sugar is crashing, can she actually dress herself, is it scary to go up to her room by herself..... Some of it is funny - other times it is so frustrating. She is too smart for me and I often do not know what to say in response to her.
So the other night she is looking at her chart ... They each have a picture & word chart that shows what they need to do in the morning and before they go to bed ...
Well she says to me .... "Mom, have you and Daddy been skipping stuff?" and I said "What?" and she says "On your chart? Have you been skipping stuff like brushing your teeth, making your bed, stuff like that." I tried to convince her that no we had not been skipping steps and that Daddy makes the bed every morning and we always brush our teeth not to mention all the other things we should be doing.
She then proceeds to tell me how she is going to make me a chart so that I can do a better job and not forget things anymore!!!!
It is lovely to be parented by my almost 5 year old control freak daughter - too bad for both of us that I am a control freak tooooooo!
