Hello out there to the faithful reader of my blog. So sorry that I have been slacking on my writing - I have been so tired! Sick husband, sick 2 year old, 2 year old entering her terrible 2's etc. etc. So tired in fact that I didn't even get to watch the game the other night because I fell asleep on the sofa minutes into it. My goofball husband didn't even think to wake me and eventually just left me there on the sofa to sleep away. I knew right away that KU won because I still get emails from this listserve that I am on in Kansas - well they kept coming in saying things like "Hawks in Lawrence" and "Hawk Sighting"! Crazy nerdy birders trying to be funny! The funny thing is that we really don't go for KU! Since of course we are both K-State Alumni - but when it came down to it in this game - it was root for your hometown or feel like a traitor and we just couldn't have that!
Other delightful happenings are
-The girls first time ice skating. They loved it. They each did great! I was surprised and impressed, completely!
-I have sequestered my brother Mike to paint our house. Really he has been bugging me daily to go buy paint and do it during the day - but there is no way in heck I am painting with 4+ kids running around. So he started tonight on the play room with a lovely yellow gold color that pops nicely with the red sofa and chairs. I can't wait to see what else he can do!
-There are a pluthera of baby showers this month and next - I finally was able to snag one to host myself - and I get to buy lots of cute baby clothes with out all the pregnancy, labor and long nights. Truly I am ready for another little one - but I have got to get my blood sugar under control first. And just to talk you in circles - I am not throwing any of those normal baby showers. I am going to throw a Baby Sprinkle - for the seasoned mother having her second child. We will play the clothespin game - where you can't say cute or you will get a pin taken away - one with the most pins wins..... Or we will have "Martini's" with plastic babies in ice cubes floating inside - the first baby to escape will cause it's drinker to yell out - My water broke. We will not pass the gifts but we will hang them on the clothes line! I will serve mini bacon wrapped chicken kabobs...
Ok, I'm tired - shocker- and I am going to go to sleep since my brain just shut off and I can no longer think uhh thoughts - see no adjective there - that's not normal but it's just not coming to me.
