Take me out to the Ball Game ....
we missed the CARDS last week with Chad and Aubrey so we took our chance when it came to go with them to see the River City Rascals play. It took us most of the night to convince the girls we were watching BASEBALL rather than BASKETBALL & no they weren't going to get to play.

Look at her skin, eyes, rosy cheeks... she always photographs so well.
or reason to their schedule, and the tracks are nowhere near our house.
In Kansas City we were about 1 mile from the tracks. If we heard the train whistle right
when we walked out the front door we could often get to
the closest crossing with about 30 seconds to spare and then watch the crossing arms come down and count the engines and wave at the driver. If we timed it all right we could follow the tracks all the way to Olathe - hitting 6 or several crossings along the way.
I do think the engineer's thought we were totally nuts!
Here we are at Alligator Creek. Last year Alex couldn't walk in the water, her head
would bob if she tried to walk on her own and the lifegaurds would be blowing their whistles. This year she could go wherever she wanted and didn't even need us to catch her
on the slide! What a difference a year makes!
After my little stint in the hospital my darling sister Lisa packed up the kids and
came out the very next morning to help. We have both wanted to be there for each other
since we have had kids and I guess this was the first time we could just drop
everything and go. It was such a big help to have her on Monday when I was tired
and still trying to understand my pain. I threw a baby shower for my friend Summer
on Tuesday (thankfully everything was long prepared) and Lisa was a huge help with that
as well. We ended up having a lot of fun at the park, in the yard, Powder Valley and
just dancing and goofing off at home.
