So we set out intending to be prepared
for the uncertainness of the future
Keeping an open mind
Ready to accept job interviews as good practice
Considering always our purpose in God’s will
Who would have thought that the seemingly perfect job would come up so quickly AND be so impossible to accept.
They wanted someone with database experience, Military Experience, Top Secret Clearance, and experience with competition barbeque – and hey! Matt was their Man!
(ok so the last one wasn’t on their list of qualifications but it was definitely up there on their list of interests as they have their own BBQ team!)
Besides the fact that our depreciating house is impossible to sell right now – plus the timing and other financial factors – we prayed and got the answer NO, along with a comforting feeling and the reminder to trust Him.
And so now we trust, watch, wait, work, wonder
and stay put, for now
grateful that we don’t have to move, again, just yet.
Becca, I'm really proud of you for acting with such faith. Truly, it takes a special couple to listen to the Spirit and pass on an offer that seemingly was so perfect. I know that you will be greatly blessed for trusting in the Lord. His way is always the better way, and soon enough you'll be able to see the "whys" of this whole thing.
