Has it really been 3 weeks since my last post?!?! That is blasphemously insane. I wrote my last post in the throes of a nasty virus and was definately not up to snuff - and my DH said he could tell I was not well when I wrote it, so I have been reluctant to re-read it and wondering if I proof read it or anything????
I do have some things in draft, but truly there is only one thing on my mind .....
We found an Aligator.
Not just some puny little mall pond gator - but a full size, dug down into the mud, waiting silently for its lunch to cross his snout - nothing between us but 20 feet of trail and shallow marsh - if he moves an inch I am OUT OF HERE - totally for real Alligator.
We discovered him? after walking past once, and then stopping to photograph an lovely turtle. DH happened to actually look at the mud and realize it was not bumpy mud - but an Alligator getting a mud wrap.
We figure he was longer than Matt is tall so 7-8 feet long.
When I figure out how to get pictures onto this computer - or when I get internet service again on mine - I WILL show you the pictures.
Tomorrow we head to Caledesi Island - for surf, sun and SANDCASTLES.
We are 4 days in (2 of which were driving) and I have tons of stories of Nail Painting, Chatanooga, Driving and Downtown Disney - but for now - since I have no pictures and I have to use a premade background instead of making my own.... I'll just send you away to do something else more interesting. (thank you Cutest Blog on the block!)
OK OK I'll give you just one little story.
Today Alex, who is all girl (this is the girls table Dad! or can we call our boy cats girls please? etc.) decided that Alex is a boy name and has been introducing herself to everyone (because we have to become friends with EVERYONE - EVERYWHERE we go) as Alexandra.

ReplyDeletean Aligator!? Yikes that's scary! My boys would have thought that was VERY cool, though. It would rank up with their highlights!
ReplyDeleteWow! We lived in Clearwater for 6 months and never saw an alligator - outside of Busch Gardens, that is.
ReplyDeleteHow did you like Caledesi Island? I miss the beach!
