The Recital

She did it!
It is amazing what a year can do.
Last year poor sweet Alex cried through the entire recital.
She was scared of the nutcracker - who was not present there in any form except that there was a song FROM the Nutcracker and she was scared to be in front of everyone.
This year we had a whole new girl.
When it was time to get dressed and do her hair for the recital
She jumped up and down squealing YEA!!! then she hugged me and said
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU MOM!!!
She was the first one out for each dance, she knew her moves, she didn't get shy when she saw us smiling at her or when she noticed anyone else. In fact I think she realized how much she loved the attention!
I didn't have to help her backstage or anything!

So cute! So fun!
I on the other hand did not do so well with the pictures this year... I was too excited that she was so excited - I never checked my camera settings - just started shooting.... Oh well....
It was still awesome!
Now that Izzy's feet aren't hurting any more - AND - we have convinced her that taking dance class doesn't mean she has to grow up to be a dancer - Izzy is considering going back into dance too! Guess we'll see.
Here she is with 3 of her special friends from dance/church/ preschool
Whitney, Ellie T, Ellie F, Alex

You should post your ballet pics next to hers.
