The Egyptian Flu has struck

Hello Blog Friends

It's been a while.

I thought I would start this year out fresh

writing a lot

blogging a lot.

January went ok.

and then...

I slept through February - literally!

Yes the night owl went to bed 8:30 - 9:00

even after taking naps.

UNBELIEVABLE

March has not been as sleepy

as it has been really yucky!!!!

So, if you haven't heard already

or put it together from my subtle excuses.

We are currently stricken with the

Egyptian Flu.

You know the kind:

you are sick for 9 months

and then you become a mummy!

SIGH of relief -

no face masks, excessive hand washing

or germ juice needed for this one!

The big day is set for

10-10-2010

We have had 4 ultrasounds,

heard the heart beat at 6 weeks,

blood work is good, blood sugar is good.

You know isn't it interesting how I can

get great blood sugar readings when I

am eating next to nothing!

Thank Heavens for Prenatal vitamins that

DON'T make me sick.

The girls are thrilled beyond belief!

Izzy talks to the baby all the time.

In most of their prayers they ask that

this baby will get to live.

They also remind me that if I eat too much

sugar the baby will die - but no worries there.

I am worried about going back to the baby stage.

There are many WONDERFUL easinesses about

having a 6 11/12 year old and a 4 1/2 year old.

Most of all I am glad that we had the chance for a

little vacation and a visit to Sea World. Even if it ended

in disaster, I can't imagine doing any of this with

a baby in tow.

So obviously I am writing this as I sit in

the Tampa airport for hour number ... 24!

GRATEFUL beyond belief are we for

Papa Secor who hooked us up

with a place to sleep for the night!

WISH WE HAD KNOWN

that we could've enjoyed it

and slept in another 4 hours!

Tried to rent a car to head to the beach last night

BUT

its spring break

and they are sold out

except for a few compacts

going for $120.00 a day !*#@%!!!

If I had any energy, sharpness of mind, or creative possibility

at the moment I would write a fabulous poem in

Iambic Pantameter

reminiscent

of Percy Bryce Shelley

I would call it

Ode to the Sparkling Sands

and I would moan and woe is me

as I regard how much I would like again to be on

the beach.

1/2 a day is not enough medicine for these weary bones.

Ok Ok Ok Ok, I GET IT.

I will be grateful to have had a week of 65 -70

sunny skies and cool hefty breezes

over grey 40's.

No gator sightings this time.

Lots of great birds though.

And a really great day at Sea World.

Pictures coming next post -

hopefully that won't take me 'til April

AND

hopefully I don't find myself

posting them as we wait for hours in Atlanta

or in Memphis!

Ok Blog World.

TTFN!

  2. WHAT?!?!?! I just saw this. CONGRATS! And what a due date...here's hoping that the little one decides to come on 10-10-10. That would be awesome.
