Becca's Heat Index and Packing Tool

Preparing for our recent trip to Colorado and Utah - I found myself asking many questions about the weather.
It seems that summer is HOT regardless of where you live or who you talk to.  Somehow I just didn't quite believe that it was the same everywhere.  So here is my recently developed version of the "heat index" that seems to tell me more accurately how to pack or prepare for an outdoor adventure....

DO YOU...

Never return home to shower or change because you have melted into a puddle
(=NUCLEAR TEMPS)

Change clothes and shower multiple times a day - burning said clothing at the end of the day
(=VOLCANIC TEMPS) or (THE CHIGGER IS OUR STATE "BIRD")

Change clothes and shower multiple times a day -putting all clothes straight into wash
(= FIRE & BRIMSTONE TEMPS)

Take a mandatory shower at end of day and put clothes straight into the wash
(=GOOD OL DAYS OF SUMMER TEMPS)

Feel really hot and sweaty when out in heat - but, after 30 min in air conditioning you forget all about it - clothes go into laundry hamper at end of day.
(=WE'VE NEVER HEARD OF HUMIDITY TEMPS)

Program the air-conditioner to run for 8-10 day time hours - opening doors and windows in the evening to cool off - and sometimes taking a sweater or light jacket on an evening walk.
(=YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO VISIT HERE IN THE WINTER TEMPS)

So, I know my range and descriptions are a little wordy but you get the idea.
To report on our trip - I would take the weather in Colorado any day.  It was perfect YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO VISIT HERE IN THE WINTER TEMPS but, we all know that there is a whole race of people who live for those Colorado winters when they hit the slopes!
