M is for....

How many times can a baby hit his head before he suffers

 brain damage? 

I had this conversation with my pediatrician the other day. 

I have been worried that I should get Max a helmet. 

He assured me that most kids do o.k.  and told me that if his eyes respond a certain way, or if he pukes or goes unconcious, that we should go to the ER fast. 

 Other wise, if he cries, and stops in a reasonable amount of time, he's fine.  

In the meantime, every pillow we own will be laid out for his highness 

who is compelled by forces beyond his control to climb, crawl, scoot, straddle, and conquer 

EVERYTHING!

ASIDE from the head issues... 

the poor little bugger is getting over 

Pneumonia! 

SUCK!

and all at the same time he is getting 6 teeth on top... 3 of which are finally cutting through.

and we are just smart enough

that we took Max.

We thought he was just grumpy from his teeth.  

The excessive coughing and sleeplessness and fever started that night

Augggh, Max stop! Get away from the fireplace, get out of the cat food, don't climb the stairs, leave the trash cans alone, don't unfold my laundry, Max? Max? Where are you? Max? Ah, there you are, playing with the floor vent in the laundry room.   Phew!

M my name is Max 

and I am 8 months old today

My mom thinks my butt is broken 

because I "have to" stand all day

and when I am not standing 

then I'm probably

climbing, climbing, climbing 

THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE!
