2011 was predominantly a Max focused year. For the most part that has not been a negative thing - as the girls have been just as Max focused as Mom and Dad.
My Neo-natal OB always got after me when I would make comments about how much the girls wanted a baby or how we as a family wanted a baby. I am pretty sure she thought I was making a mistake to get pregnant being diabetic and 35. She made it very clear that I would be really stupid to even consider having more than 3.
If only she could see how much this baby is loved, and how much happiness he has brought to our family. There have been minute moments of jealousy on Alex's part, and that is to be expected. It is so great to see how much the girls love and adore Max. As he gets older - it is great to see how much he adores them as well. From the furious waving and running to meet them at the bus, to open mouth sloppy kisses, to playing chase and squealing at the girls - if she could only see. I know that truly it is a decision between husband and wife. BUT, I am grateful that the girls were able to say for themselves "I choose this" because it has been a beautiful experience.
With that said, I hope that when we see the top 10 of 2012 we see the girls better represented there :) AND maybe, if I made a Top 10 List for each girl - it would be a very different list anyway.....
