Give Me Twenty

Every now and then

I write a post that I really love

NOT

because it is written well

(or because it has cool fonts)

But because it’s about something that makes me really happy

And usually has cool pictures.

The last post was one of those.

I had to look back and reminisce just a little on my sweet surprise

Before I could start writing again.

I just love spring.

Which brings me to the point…

I’ve been watching the days speed past knowing it was soon

And here it is

SPRING BREAK!

Did you know that

20 years ago

There was

 this guy

And he tricked me into a study date

(I thought we were really going to study – I NEEDED to study!)

Not long after

SPRING BREAK arrived.

I was sad to see said guy leave with his buddies

for manly adventures in the wilderness.

When family tradgedy brought his adventures to an end.

Who was there to pick up the pieces?

Yeah, that was me.

So

TWENTY YEARS, eh!

Twenty Years since our first kiss.

Twenty years since we became “an item”.

Twenty years of chaos and excitement,

lots of trial

and lots of error.

 

Twenty years of making

A life together

A family

A big, long, crazy,

rollercoaster ride memory.

Here’s looking up

Towards another 20.

I Can hardly fathom it.

It takes my breath away.
