Sometime
in the next Month this little guy
(Dark Eyed Junco)
will be headed north to enjoy breeding season in a cooler climate
In the mean time - he ventured into my screened porch and got stuck
Usually I can guide the birds out by blocking the wrong way - with my arms
this one was a mite more confused and even took a break to rest
on the outside of my hand for a solid 2 seconds
Here is my wonderful
Spring Surprise
SQUISHED and Poking out of the cracks
of this dried out pot
was this long forgotten little bulb
It is so sweet how it just grew anyway
I imagine it may have had some rain
water to keep it going
I'm sure with a day or 2 of sun and watered soil
it will be feeling like the brilliant Hyacinth she
was meant to be
Here are the first blooms on our Magnolia tree.
We have never had one of these in our yard and
we are more than excited to watch it come to life!
Finally. This is
The House that Matt built
To replace the Purple Martin house that was
rotted and falling apart.
It is beautiful. and SOLID!
NOW, if we can just figure out how to get
it back up there. It is not light!
