RECOVERY

Regarding anti-depressants :
A less common warning that should really be widely known is that
when a depressed person begins a new anti-depressant regimen
the risk of suicide increases dramatically in the first few weeks
BECAUSE
suddenly they feel a little better physically, a little more motivated, a little less tired.
BUT
they still feel the feelings that brought them down to begin with - and SUDDENLY they
have the ability to do something about it!!!

I've felt this change before in myself.
GRANTED - I have never been suicidal.
THANKFULLY !

I HAVE however wanted to crawl into a box or run far far away and start a new life on an island wearing clothes made of grass and sleeping in trees with Iguana's....

It helps to have my children - for whom I will do whatever it takes to love them, and teach them and give them a good life - having them in my life pushes me beyond my limits.
It helps to have FAITH in GOD - and to trust Him to help me through the DARK and HEAVY depressions that plague me.

I don't know if it is really just whack-osis in my mind and body - hormones etc.  But I have had a lovely long time anti-depressant free (except for a short post-pardum episode).  AND NOW - the Genie is out of the bottle wreaking havoc with me again.

SO here's the great part of the story - I need to figure out a way to get to the punch line sooner!

ANywAy!

Last night I popped my little pill - starting with a measley little half-dose.

I should have remembered the warning - I should have remembered!!!!

Because I don't bounce back and get suicidal.

NO!  OF COURSE NOT!

NO!

I rearrange furniture!!!!

AND do I just re-arrange like move this table here and this picture frame there?

NO WAY! We do WHOLE rooms baby!

Here's the switch.

Here's the Loot we had to remove to make the switch.

So the deal is
We are only putting back what is essential.
The rest we get rid of
SELL - GOODWILL etc.

HOLY CRAP BATMAN!

Maybe day 2 of happy pills will bring me an entire clean house
or the motivation to paint something
for these boring walls!!!

Yeah, I know... be grateful I got one day out of it!

Addiction, Depression, and various other woes.
I've wanted to write about these things for a long time but I get a little gun shy.
I need to get my thoughts out of my head more.
I will probably need to vent a little.
Just thinking of getting healthier in my mind too.
"They" say I should, so I will try it!
